Meaningful Encounters
A spontaneous movement of close friendly interaction with wild dolphins worldwide has been increasing since the 1960's. This began primarily with lone bottlenose dolphins, described as ambassadors for their kind, and has gone on to include whole pods & other species & more recently the great whales themselves.
Humanity is beginning to enjoy harmonious close encounters with dolphins & whales in the wild more than any time in our known history. Yet beyond simply witnessing them, taking photos & study, there is a profound & deep meaning in our connection with these intelligences.
Such an encounter when consensual and respectful is often described as the most amazing moment of ones life.
Many experience during an encounter that they are in the presence of an awareness beyond that which is commonly met in adult humans. This awareness is experienced as similar to human yet fully aligned with its original purity, innocent and fully present, at home & at peace with ALL-THAT-IS, uninhibited in expression of joy, tenderness, and sensuality, dynamic in its body, highly intelligent, playful, fearless & one with its true spirit. Indeed an embodiment of freedom & inner beauty & ultimately more functional as awareness both in the subtleties of reality and in its planetary environment. As such people often experience in these moments a transcendence of their familiar self. Such encounters not only strengthen the bond between humanity and its largest brain beings, such encounters alter our consciousness and change us...forever.
